Skylinks is a community golf club in Concord, California. We took over a tired public course nobody loved, loved it back to life, and now run it 1% better every single day — for everyone.
Why we exist
Built by an outsider, for everyone who’s ever felt like one.
Golf has spent a hundred years making people feel like they don’t belong. The wrong clothes, the wrong car, the wrong family name. Every kid who walks up to a golf course feeling like an outsider is exactly who we’re here for.
We know what it feels like to be on the outside. So nobody stands outside at Skylinks.
The story so far
Same ground. Whole new club.
Buchanan Fields opens as a 9-hole public course on airport land in Concord.
Kiwi and a small crew take over a tired, distressed course and range. No golf background. No advertising budget. One idea: golf for all.
Range lit every night and grown to 72 bays. Music on. Kids Zone with free bounce houses and mini-putt. The course in the best shape of its life.
Three years in. 2026 Recycled Water Champion. The busiest community golf spot in the East Bay, run by a local crew.

Most courses are run for the 5% who already play serious golf. Skylinks is run for the 95% who haven’t been invited yet, without losing the 5%. Country clubs sell exclusion. We sell welcome.

Skylinks at Buchanan Fields is our home and our training ground. Skylinks is looking to expand across Northern California, and we’re building a team that wants to grow with us. Every new crew member learns the Standard here first, then takes it wherever we go next.
From the founder
I’m a New Zealand-born entrepreneur and former pro snowboarder. I founded New Zealand’s national snowboard body, built and sold a content agency and the country’s biggest coworking network, and wrote a book called Power Moves. Golf is where all of it comes together: community, creativity, commerce and culture.
I want my girls to grow up with awesome memories at this course, surrounded by family and friends. I want yours to as well. Come say hi. I’ll probably be the one flagging gopher holes.
