About Skylinks 12
What is Skylinks at Buchanan Fields?
Skylinks at Buchanan Fields is a public 9-hole golf course and 72-bay lighted driving range at 1091 Concord Ave, Concord, CA 94520. It’s a community golf club built for everyone — beginners, families, seniors and serious players — with music on the range, a pro shop bar with 100+ beers, a free Kids Zone and private event spaces.
Where exactly is Skylinks?
Skylinks is at 1091 Concord Ave in Concord, California, right beside Buchanan Field Airport in Contra Costa County. It’s about 5 minutes from Highway 4 and I-680, and roughly 35 minutes from San Francisco and Oakland in normal traffic.
Is Skylinks open to the public?
Yes. Skylinks at Buchanan Fields is 100% public — no membership needed to play the course, hit the range or book an event space.
Who owns Skylinks?
Skylinks at Buchanan Fields is owned and operated by Skylinks Golf, led by founder and CEO Robett “Kiwi” Hollis. Skylinks took over the course in October 2023 and has rebuilt it as a community golf hub.
Is Skylinks the same as the old Buchanan Fields Golf Course?
Yes. Skylinks at Buchanan Fields is the former Buchanan Fields Golf Course, open since 1955 and designed by Robert Muir Graves. Same land, same 9 holes — new owners, new range mats, rebuilt bunkers, longer hours and a lot more going on.
Why is it called Skylinks?
The course sits next to Buchanan Field Airport, so small planes fly over while you play. “Sky” plus “links” — the logo is a winged golf ball. SKYLINKS® is a registered trademark.
Has Skylinks won any awards?
Yes. In September 2026 Central San (Central Contra Costa Sanitary District) named Skylinks at Buchanan Fields its 2026 Recycled Water Champion in the business category, for irrigating the course with recycled water.
What are the views like?
You get Mt. Diablo views across the course and range, plus planes landing and taking off at Buchanan Field next door.
Who do I contact at Skylinks?
Tee times, refunds, memberships and school bookings: call the Pro Shop on (925) 682-1846. Parties, private bookings, tournaments and Paint a Bay: events@skylinksgolf.com. Lessons: Head Pro Russell King at russell@skylinksgolf.com. Donations: donations@skylinksgolf.com.
Is Skylinks the same company as the previous owner of Buchanan Fields?
No. Skylinks Golf took over the course in October 2023 and is a separate business from the previous operator. Questions about the old business should go to the previous owner.
Does Skylinks run other golf courses?
Skylinks at Buchanan Fields is the flagship, and Skylinks is growing the brand across Northern California. Follow @skylinksgolf for news.
Can my band, art, photo booth or business partner with Skylinks?
We love working with locals. Email the team with your idea, examples and dates — live music, range bay art, pop-ups and event vendors are all considered case by case.

Walking is welcome — Skylinks is flat and compact. Drive Carts and push carts are available from the Pro Shop.

Drive Carts seat 2 and cost $10 per person when you share, or $15 if you ride solo. Push carts are $7, and free for Skylinks Golf Club members. The last Drive Cart goes out 1 hour before the last tee time, because carts have no lights.
Is it cart path only today?
When the course is wet, carts stay on the paths. Ask the Pro Shop at check-in.
Where can I drive the cart?
On the course and paths only — not at the Pro Shop front, on the patio, or between the Kids Zone and the range.

Do you rent clubs?
Yes. Rental sets for the course are $10 per set, with limited numbers available — call ahead to hold one. Loaner clubs are free at the range.

Do you give rain checks?
If weather stops play, talk to the Pro Shop — the manager on duty will sort out a fair fix, case by case.
Do you close for heat, wind or wildfire smoke?
